Daniel, as I understand it the late MCI's called Range Expander were welded frames. The earlier models were not. I have an EMCI that is welded and I think all EMCI guitars were welded frames. _________________ EMCI Double 10,Session 400,Webb 614E and Gretsch Nashville Pro Steel Amp, Keith Hilton Digital Sustain pedal and Seymour Duncan KTG -1, Hughes&Kettner BATT

Harold is correct. MCI's only welded frame guitars were the RangeXpander (sp?). The EMCI's were all welded frames. _________________ Best regards,

Yes Mike is correct, I had a MCI Rangexpander D10 which had the welded frame and so did all the EMCI's that followed it. Played mine for 20 years _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

I had the new Range Expander with welded frame and it was sturdy as could be. Great steel. Jack _________________ Zum D10 8x5,rev pre-amp, TC M300, Split 12, n-112, IZZY, Hilton vp, Geo L, BJS Hughey, Live Steel |
