A Sixth Cents??

Has anyone experienced this?

When I raise my 6th string with the B pedal it seems to have a little "wobble" sound before it resides on the A note. I verified this with my tuner and it seems that the string raises to A then backs off about 10 cents for a split second then comes back to A. I thought it was an old string but it's doing it on a brand new set too. All my other raises are smooth.

It's not the end of the world but it seems like a mechanical issue that can be solved. By the way, the guitar is a Fessenden S-10 3P-4KL and I love it!

This is one of the best arguments for using a wound string there (which I do not for other not related reasons). Maybe there is a guitar out there that neutralizes this problem but I believe that, simply, the use of the standard gauge (.020) of plain wire is pushing the limits of stability of vibration at steel guitar scale length, at steel guitar tension, at steel guitar pitch.
