A thousand thanks, Barry! Except maybe a bottle of "Pfälzer Wein" but I think it won't go through the customs sent privately. Confused
Emmylou sang on Gene's "Two Sides To Every Story" and maybe Eddie Tickner brought her to him. Smile
What a thrill to see this man, and Ms. Harris too!

When was that? He owned a house in the little village of Albion according to his biography. Thanks!

Unfortunately, Mr. Tickner left the auditorium several years ago..

Albion is about six miles south of Mendocino. He actually lived closer to Little River on Highway 1 initially with Carlie and the kids. Then they moved to Albion.

Gene has lived in Caspar for a number of years which is between Fort Bragg and Mendocino, a few miles north.

A friend of mine who sadly passed away from cancer a few years ago named Len Gelardi, owned a metal plating business here in Santa Rosa and did the plating on the StringBender for Gene for a number of years. Len also did the plating on the capos for Rick Shubb for some time, another local business.

Mark, are you talking about Gene Clark or Gene Parsons?

Gene Parsons.

Not sure what I was thinking...not enough coffee earlier.

Last Sunday at the Green Center at Sonoma State University I was at a bluegrass show with David Grisman, Del McCoury and the Jerry Douglas-led Earls of Leicester, and I was talking to a guy who also knows Gene Parsons, so I guess i had Parsons on the brain.

Well it's all interconnected since Parsons and the late Clark between them have a bunch of years in on the Mendo Coast. Wink

i played space steel on a tune called 'albion' by a guy named bill yates long ago.
it used to be on some jukebox in albion.

one main line in the song was, 'albion, i'll be on my way'...
