Topic: Is it me, or the bar ? |

Lately (it seems) when I place the bar over
the frets closer to the tuning end, all but the third string will fret. Then I'll push harder on the bar and the final string will fret. I don't remember having to use much pressure on the bar to fret before. Has any one ever encountered this ? |

You could try searching for threads about gauged roller nuts also to see if that might be part of it.

Is it possible that a deeper groove has been worn or cut into the nut in which that 3rd string lies? Perhaps this could be a factor? |

I have heard of adjustable rollers. I believe that the hole in not in the center, allowing you to turn the roller until the height is right. I think it was Emmons. And I believe this has been discontinued...
