I recently bought an Emmons S12 p/p. The serial number (stamped in the endplate on the changer end) is: 190 S12. The guitar is setup as a universal E9/B6 with 7p and 4k.

What year was it built and is this the original set-up? Just curious.

BTW: It's got "the tone"!!

Keep on pickin'!
Glenn

Hi Glenn,

I've got one that's #184. My dad was a dealer back then, and I remember him getting it in around the mid to late 70's. His was not std. Univ. tuning. Afer he passed away in '90, I modified it for universal, but did a lousy job. It's got the basket weave finish on it. My plans are to send it to Cass for full restoration, as well as strip the basket weave and replace with black mica.
