Try Al Brisco in Canada. He got all the left over Carter parts when they went out of business.

Neils. Did you make the parts for a Carter Starter? I was under the impression that the front legs couldn't be adjusted to fit the 2" spacer (conduit?) between the clutch and pedal bar. I am not positive about that though. The kits from Al Brisco include a piece that threads on to the leg's treads and then screws into the guitar.

Until you get them, buy a set of furniture moving sliders at Walmart or local hardware store and put under the feet. That's what I did, had to adjust the pedals a bit, but it worked.

thanks gentlemen. This will be my steel to learn everything on so i want it to be comfortable. Need to learn how to tune and take care of the thing as well. Also i'v read some on here about some modifications people do to the carter starter but that's a bit above my head at the moment.

How tall is the Starter you have? I've had two and they were both almost too tall for me. Could be you have one someone has had lowered...

yes Al Brisco has lift kits specifically for the Carter Starter ... I think the extension bit screws on to the top of the leg, rather than adding a sleeve to the bottom of standard legs.
