I know it is a long shot but would anyone have a couple of 1935 National New Yorker control knobs as per the following picture? Please contact me if you would be prepared to sell two.

The best source for old knobs is usually vintage radio parts suppliers. Instrument manufacturers purchased off-the-shelf knobs, so they can often be found on old radios as well.

If you can't find a vintage one check out this vintage style replacement.

Thanks Doug and Noah I am trying to match the two knobs still on the guitar and maintain its originality. I have been looking at vintage radio knobs without any joy so I was hoping that someone may have a couple of originals. I realize it is a long shot.

I'm sure you're already doing this but you may want to do a periodic ebay search for "bakelite knob" or "radio knob". This was the closest I found after a quick search:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GC-DIAL-KNOB-5-8-ROUND-1-4-in-SHAFT-VINTAGE-RADIO-2PC-SET-6126-/151002290276?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item2328701864

You might also google "hamfest Australia" and see if there are any of those ham radio operator swap meets nearby or near someone you know. There's always a couple of guys with boxes of old bakelite knobs at those. Take a picture with you to show to some of the old timers. I attend a couple of those each year looking for tube amp stuff and I'll keep an eye out. Are your potentiometers solid shaft, 1/2 notched or a serrated split shaft?

Thanks Bill, I do check those searches and I might purchase a set of four of the ones in the listing you suggested if I can't find two originals. I appreciate your help.
