Anyone have a "Maui Maid"?

The disintegrating label glued inside, to the instrument's back plate, and visible through its soundhole, reads:

HAWAIIAN
"MAUI MAID"
STEEL GUITARS
AND UKULELES

CHRISTO(P?)HES, SAN FRANCISCO
U S DISTRIBUTORS

Looks just like a Weissenborn, and was represented as
such by the dealer I purchased it from in the 1980s.

This is a more complete rendering:

Circa 1920's. Label in sound hole reads:
"Hawaiian MAUI MAID Steel guitars and Ukuleles. Christophe's, San Francisco, U.S. Distributors

Maui Maid Ukulele Weissenborn? You may find it here at this site among hundreds of instruments. Good luck!

We'd need photos to be able to identify what you're talking about. I haven't heard of "Maui Maid" brand instruments before this.

Here's a couple of pics, as requested. I tried to load more, including a closeup of the aforementioned label, but for whatever reason was unsuccessful. I'll try again later.

Here are some more photos:

Note that on the closeup shot of the bridge, the saddle appears to be a chunk of fretwire. Is that the normal practice on these instruments? Would there be a better material, or would it be best to leave it as is?

What is the favored material for the nut, and how tall should it be?

Madonna, Maui, and Maui Maid were private labels used by Christophe's Dept. Store in San Francisco to sell guitars built by Hermann Weissenborn. No question the guitar shown was made Weissenborn.
