I have seen photos of some of the later model Fender 400 and 1000 that appear to have the more modern cam style bridge saddles. Can anyone tell me when the 400 and 1000 changed from the straight bar bridge to the more modern style?

Tim,
My first pedal steel was a Fender 800 purchased in 1966. It had the newer system. Wish I could find another one.

Late in 1963, they adopted the cam-top bridge. (This was shortly after they went from a straight bar to a roller bridge.)
