What type of string should I use to replace the string in a late 70's Emmons volume pedal? Mine just broke!!! Is there anything I can get at Home Depot that will work? Thanks in advance for any help.

A quality waxed cord works well . . . if you have a small local airport that has someone that still works on fabric planes (old Cubs, Aeroncas, etc.) get some "rib stitching cord." It's I've used in my Emmons pedals for 30 years . . . never had it break. However, any good cord will work. Nylon should be available at Kmart, or like places, in hardware. Just remember to burn the ends so's it doesn't unravel.

...and look for braided string instead of twisted. I got some at a hardware store that works fine.
