I was lucky to hear Hal Rug play at Gery Hogan's Steel Guitar Festival in Newbury. I remember when he said that "no matter how good you are in playing there's more important things". I'll never forget that.
On the studio recording of "Gypsy Rider", Ed Black played the steel.
