I'm taking an old Supro on a plane next week. I don't have a case for it and wanted to order a padded gig bag (nothing expensive) because I need something light and relatively easy to carry.
Will a Supro 32" long fit inside an electric guitar gig bag? Or is there a case for lap steels sold somewhere?
Thanks! |

Try a gig bag for the Baby Taylor. I think Mark Van Allen sells them here. If I have the wrong member, someone will correct me, I'm sure _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe.

A baritone uke bag might work, but that backpacker bag for 22.50 looks very nice. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6. Peavey 400 and a Roland 40 Amps. Behringer Reverb Pedal. |

One thing that I did, that I'm kinda proud of, is I bought a regular 3/4 size acoustic guitar gigbag and then I made an inner "lap steel cozy" for it to hold my steel in place and give it further protection.
The cozy's made out of a foam sleeping pad that I cut and then duct taped together. Then, once the shape was right, I "upholstered" it using an old sheet and more duct tape. Whole job took a few hours and used no real skill.
I now have a pretty heavy duty custom case and it cost me less than $50.

Gun case bags are easily found, even local to where you live.
