I have a goodrich pot pedal that is making a LOT of noise when used. Not the pot, the pot is great, it's the pedal itself. I have tried putting some Williams lube near the axle where the two pieces meet, didn't seem to help.
Has anyone experience this issue and how did you resolve it?
I have not taken it apart yet or anything like that. |

How old is the pedal? Those bronze bushings have lube in them. You might take those bushings to Grainger and get new ones. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Thanks Lane. The pedal is roughly three years old with many many many hours on it. I'll check out the bushings once I get a reliable back up. |

You might also, given the nature of the parts, try basic grease. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

TriFlow works great on those oilite bushings. I used it for decades on low rotational speed machine bushings. Bronze oil impregnated bushings can dry out, and the TriFlow re-lubes them with the teflon particles and they can last for years longer. _________________ Best regards,
