Got my parts from James for a complete renewal/update on the '73 S-10 I've been working on. All new undercarriage parts, including the new 4 hole pullers! Workmanship and design is stunning!
Thank you James!
Sorry! I'm a terrible photographer, with a lousy camera!

She'll be a real beaut when all bolted back together. James is using the same 4 hole pullers in rebuilding your old '67 Bud for me. Can't wait to see that too. |

John, are you converting it from 2-hole pullers on round cross-shafts, or was it a rack and barrel guitar?
Can't tell from the pictures if you are updating the changer. I can see rods with hex-head ends. Are they aluminum or stainless? |

Dan,
It's a '73, so it was racks and barrels.

Hi John, Looks great. Are you using the same mounting type or style as the rack and barrel? Jay |

JY,
Here are a couple;

ADD: The guitar looks black in the pic. It's actually a dark Blue-Green. |

Yup! I look at the left vertical, and just think, "Wow! My friend made this?" James has made so many improvements over the original Shobud parts that he's amazing! |

Dan, The pullrods out of my shop are always stainless. The aluminum are a tad lighter, but they are flimsy. It does not take but a little more to go first class all the way. The changer is awesome in this model guitar--single/single. It's what many of us consider to be the finest changer Shobud ever produced. "Updating" it would be a big step backwards.
Thanx for the kind words everyone, it's a labor of love to make these parts. _________________ "Good judgement comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgement"~old cowboy proverb.

Dan! Sorry! I should have answered sooner. Those rods are the old ones that I took off the guitar. All my steel parts were just in the same place when I took the pic. I will be getting new ss rods from James. Sorry about the confusion! |

HI John, Thanks to you and James. Thanks for the pictures of the new parts. I didn't want to be obvious of the mounting positions. The photos show original mounts. Thanks, Jay |

Hey John. How are those 4 hole pullers working out? I assume they allow you to time pulls better, but when you have 2 pulls on the same rod, don't they still have to be in the same hole on both pullers to line up straight and not bind? |

That' right, JB! Please tell us.
I miss talking to him, and sadly my 6139 will never wear James Morehead parts.
I would love for you to tell us how you made out with your guitar. |
