since 1982 or so most new steels have been built with the split tuning option built in. first made popular with zumsteel and the emmons legrande.
this is the one noticeable mark of the new era steel guitar. these are accompanied with multiple raise and lower changers and bellcranks with more and more pull positions being offered. these all just increase the fine tuning and adjustment and feel to make your steel function close to perfectly.
show pro is one of the most beautiful new steels being built with big raves for looks, tone, playability, etc.
why would they 'not' offer the modern convenience of the built in split screws? or do they? i don't see
the adjustment screws anywhere. |

I was looking into these guitars a while back. I believe that split screws at the changer are available as an upgrade option. _________________ Justice Pro Lite (4-5), Justice D-10 (8-5)x2 , Quilter Steelaire, Hilton Pedal, BJ's bar. |

You can still do split tunings with addition of some pull rods. I have a couple on my Show Pro and they work just fine. _________________ Mark T
