My guess would be the first Emmons prototype built by Ron Lashley for Buddy Emmons around 1963.

Assuming that you are talking about Formica. It would be around 1961 or 1962. While working on the first Emmons Push Pull Pedal Steel Guitar, Ron Lashley Sr. and Buddy Emmons tried a tried a liquid layering process called Mica Glass. It did not work out so they went with Formica instead.
