Anyone have any info on who played on Chiseled in stone and what kind of Amp Effects rig that was used?
My current singer and I are debating if the steel player is using some digital effects or using a steel amp , we are stumped , all we know is that it sounds like the same player and he's using the same effects on most of the recordings.

You guys need to watch the Legends Of Steel Guitar series that Jim Vest put together on Youtube. In one of those installments he explains the lowering of the 10th string also used on "Set Em Up Joe". Lots of good history in those Youtubes. He also talks a little about which guitars and amps he used at certain times. He was playing Derby on the videos, but I think he used to be a ShoBud guy. Also included are Stu Basore, Don Helms, & Tommy White. The one where they play bass for each other on the C6 is neat too.
