A friend has a Sho~Bud Maveric (that he bought new) that he is selling me (divorce in progress). It had a mint catalog in the case and it says "one additional knee lever may be added". I've not seen it yet, but I'd like to be able to raise and lower the E's. Can someone tell me if it can be done?
Would you believe ----- it lists for $360.00! A D10 Pro II Custom - $1595.00, Pro III Custom $1795.00 (sigh, the good ol days)

You need to call Bob Simmons who can answer your question.Bob who was at Sho-Bud and who has been building and repairing steels for around 40 years is the man to call.He is the builder of the Simmons Custom Pedal Steel Guitar. He has built and worked on hundreds of steels. He can be reached at 1-205-647-2331 Everything is A+ when he ships a guitar. He has orders from all over the U.S.and Europe, and works on all brands. Its fun to visit his shop and see all the steels that are being updated, built or repaired. |

Big Al, thanks for the call, always enjoy chewing the fat. Too bad you wasn't my rep back then, I sold a ton of Buds. By the way, inquirer, the maveric I have for sale now lowers both E's and I can add an F lever if needed.
