The last time I heard "Going Back" was at a supermarket a few days ago. At first I thought I was hallucinating. Than I realised it was Phil Collins's version. I heard it first by the Byrds and than later on a re- release of Carol King's "City".
Rest in peace Gerry Goffin. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

Sad news! What great songs they both wrote!
Thanks for the mention of 'The City' - I managed to get that on CD not too long ago and I still love the album.
One of my favourite Goffin/King songs is the Everly Brothers' 'No-one Can Make My Sunshine Smile' - heavenly!!! _________________ Roger Rettig: Emmons D10, B-bender Teles and Martins - and, at last, a Gibson Super 400!
