| I'm looking for an elegant and practical solution to the following problem. These days I need up to 4 bars on a single gig: one for pedal steel, one for dobro, one for 6-string lap steel, one for 8-string non pedal... I'm wondering if someone out there has a suggestion for a pouch to store and carry all of these, and maybe my Beard dobro capo while we're at it. And not only to carry them, but also to have easy access on a gig when changing instruments. Any ideas? |

If you get any kind of hippie zipper coin purse/dope pouch type thing that is physically big enough to hold all four bars, you can have your lady cut open a sock, fold it over itself, and stitch little vertical dividers. Then you slide the bars in. I had em all in a pouch, loose, til my glass one broke. That was the cheap solution she came up with.
I carry 4 to gigs as well. Pedal, lap bullet, Stevens, tiny (tiny!) light glass bar for funky distorted stuff.

| I put mine in a small camera case, zipper type for transporting. on the steel they sit in a Drummers Kwikstix holder. |

Good suggestions, thus far.
D2F Covers has some really nice little cases that I'm sure would accommodate your needs. Not expensive and sturdily constructed.

Case from my old blood sugar kit. Will hold 5 bars, plus picks, etc.

2 tone bars, 3 sets of picks , 1 tuning wrench, 2 9V batteries

go on-line and by a cigar holder - 2 or 3 slots - and trim it to fit what you need.
