Watching Late Night With Seth Meyers, I notice that the 8G Band seems to deliberately use "second tier" instruments. I don't know if it's for looks or to get that "garage band" sound, but it's cool either way. I recognize most of the instruments, but Fred Armisen's guitar has me stumped:

Does anyone know what kind of guitar he's playing?

PS. I really like the 8G Band.

PPS. The audio engineering of Late Night With Seth Meyers sounds better than the other nighttime talk shows. Don't know why.

Forget what I said about "second tier instruments". Turns out the guitar is a Fano Alt de Facto SP6. They sell in the $2k=$3k range.

A lot of those Fano alt de facto guitars look like a mashup between a low-end Harmony and a first-gen Teisco Del Rey.Maybe with a little Kay/Premier influence.Kinda makes me wonder if steelers in the distant future will pay a premium for a Carter Red Maverick. Winking
