This one has me puzzled.
First, the reverb just quit working. No unusual noises.
Then I unplugged the molex connector and removed the spring unit, still no odd noises.
I swapped the tank with another known good tank, no reverb but lots of noises.
Loud hum as if there is an open lead but both wires test good, the molex plug is stable.
I have now replaced the wires and the tank. Still loud, bad ground noise.
Unplugged, it's just fine, I can even touch the pins without causing a hum of crackle.
The hum and other noises begin when the molex plug is inserted.
Where do I look for a bad ground? Or what might I be missing?

Have you retensioned the Molex connectors?

It was a cracked PC board. Not to worry, I fixed it. Good as new.
The molex connector puts a lot of stress on the board the way if sticks down from the underside of the chassis. Any little flexing and eventually the foil cracks. So, I hard wired the sucker.
