The verb pan in my Peavey Nashville 112 stopped working and was unrepairable. Well,, by me anyway. After seaching the web, I found a direct replacement made by "MOD" for $19.00. The new pan is so much better than the original . Really deep, natural and lush sounding without having to crank the verb knob so high.
Just passing a little info along .

Hey Tommy...do you know the part number of the replacement tank? They have a bunch listed. Didn't want to have to pull the old tank out to check the model number before ordering one.

Here tis Marty. Part model # 9EB2C1B
Whew! It was on my receipt purchased from Amplified Parts. I put the old pan in the trash.
The new pan is absolutely great. I've tried so many reverb devices. Just can't get away from real spring reverb. The "MOD" pan gives the Nashville 112 reverb like a Fender Twin!

Thanks, Tommy! Never loved the original verb. Looking forward to trying the MOD out.

Tommy, I too like the Mod tanks. Just replaced the 8 series medium delay in my Music Man with a 4 series long delay, much better!

Thanks Russ! That's the one! It's actually built better/more sturdy than the more costly accutronics.
Not to mention how much better the MOD tank sounds.
Ken, I'm sure they do make one for a twin. You'll need the part # from your old one.

They make one for the Twin. I used Mod tanks in my Fox Reverb Units as well as replacements for Fender and Peavey amps. Like Tommy says, they are great

I use the MOD tanks in Milkman amps. Have had good luck with them so far!

Tommy, I watched a 2 year old show of Lionel Richie last night. You were playing a SD10. What kind of guitar was it ? I never could see the name. You and the guitar sounded Great ! Smile

Will that tank work on a Vegas 400?

So Tommy, you just pull the wires out of the old one, unscrew the pan, do the reverse to install the new pan? No "funny stuff"? I am somewhat technically challenged.

Not to answer for Tommy, but it's that easy. Just two wires connect the reverb tanks and an easy change. But, so far I can't find the Mod tanks anywhere. Word must have gotten around as everyone is sold out and back ordered.

Needed one in a hurry and couldn't find a MOD version either so I just ordered one of the regular ones which I expect will sound like the original equipment, instead of better.

But does anyone know how the mod is done and is it do-able by the buyer?

Oh, I thought it was a mod(ification) of the original equipment from the same manufacturer. I guess not...

But that's a different part number. Supposed to be 9EB2C1B, unless you know that they're substitutable?

They substitute, but the "9" is 3 spring, and the "4" is 2 spring. Both are medium delay.
The "Mod" is using the same numbering system as Accutronics.
Here is some good info.

Hey Tommy,
Thanks for the lead on this Mod tank. It just gives an over all warmer tone. A definite improvement from the original tank. This is why I love the Forum . Getting tips and advice from fellow steelers is priceless! I appreciate you sharing your expertise.
Thanks Again!
