This Vintage National New Yorker 7 string Lap Steel Guitar has a 3-way "Hawaiian-Chimes-Harp" tone selector and 1 master volume control. It has the Black celluloid fretboard with Roman numeral markers in ivory. The serial number is not quite legible. It comes with its original black case. This collectible steel sounds amazing according to owners of a music store. Black finish is missing on places of end of the guitar. My late husband at 13, was a professional steel player with Stony and Wilma Lee Cooper in the early 1940's. They were known as the "Showboat Crew," playing for WJJD in Chicago, Illinois, and this was the guitar he used. He also played this guitar on some of Red Foley's records; but around age 17, he turned strictly to Gospel music. $900. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. PayPal only.
