Does anyone have a link to John playing this song? I want to show a friend what can be done with a low E string in E9th tuning.

Henry Matthews does this version. See if it has the licks you want.
Henry always does a good job.

He plays a nice version, if you eliminate his intro. But, John played with a low E string, so it's not remotely the same.

I've .ompletely burned out two of the LPs. I need to get a cd. I played with John on a Loretta show. I just want a friend to hear what can be done with a low E string. John played it as a string trio. The high string was the violin part, the middle string was the viola, but the low E string was the cello.

I now have 3 versions Henry, Hughey, and Mooney.
I hope I am smart enough to work this out.

I'm interested in John's version, as he he used a string trio version, and used the low E string as the cello part.
