Ladies & Gentlemen,
For your consideration: A 1976 (or so) Sho-Bud Maverick in good working order. Like so many people on the forum, I bought the Maverick to start my journey on steel to test the waters without spending an arm and a leg. So after six months, despite logic, reason, economics, lack of talent, and any other valid criteria, I yielded to temptation at the Dallas steel guitar show in mid-March and upgraded.
Call me a scoundrel, a cheat and a cad for abandoning my first love after such a short romance. Though bound tightly to the mast as I sailed through vendors’ booths at the Dallas show, I was tempted by the Siren’s song and jumped overboard to try and swim closer to the ethereal sounds emanating from the main stage. Yes, I am but a fool, but at least a happy one for now.
I don’t know much of its history other than it came to me from Wichita Falls, TX. I estimate the date of manufacture around January of 1976 if the Sho-Bud serial number lists on the web are valid. I don’t have a case, but it will be packed with care.
I am asking $640. It is in good working order and hasn’t had any modifications done to the pedal or lever operation though the fret board is a little off kilter. The A, B and C pedals are industry standard configuration and the knee lever drops the 2 and 8 strings a half-step which is how Mavericks came from the factory. I’ll split shipping with the buyer and make a donation to the forum.

I would actually love to make a trip to NZ myself. Since that's not a viable option for me, as long as the money for the guitar and shipping are in hand up front, I'm fine with shipping to NZ.
