Hepcat Steel Guitars finally got some sound samples on the website! Much thanks to all who offered their help. I ended up working with Joe Savage who's kind of in my neighborhood. He did a super-nice job! What a sweetheart and great player! Check out the groovy sounds! www.hepcatsteelguitars.com Mr. Green

Michelle's shop is just down the block from my house, so I get to be tempted by her steels every time I walk by! They sound, play and look great...

That's awesome, Michele! You definitely hit the jackpot with Joe. Love the sound of the Lollar string-through pickup on that Lapster. The blue with the white racing stripe reminds me of a '63 Shelby Cobra. Best of luck with your instruments.

By the way, where did you score that cool little red amp with Joe's surname on the nameplate?

Thanks, Jack. That little red Savage amp is Joe's and was made by Savage Audio in Savage, MN. Pretty cool huh?

Sorry, Michele -- I have to admit that was a baited question.

When I win the Gopher 5, I promise to make the trek from here in Bachmannville across the Croix and order one of those beautiful blue Lapsters with a white racing stripe and that string-through pickup. Next stop will be across the muddy, floody MN river to order one of those little tube-fired gems from Jeff. Of course, it'll be blue tolex to match the Lapster, not red.

Guess I better head up to the Holiday and purchase some tickets...
