these are not easy to find Marty.. I found 2 for sale over the years at realistic prices, and had to wait a long time and jump fast when i did find one.. Keep an eye on ebay, they do turn up there on occasion.. The 800 was the least produced version of the Fender cable steels during their production run, and I can't understand why.. The 2000, 1000, and 400 are all much easier to find.. There are a few guys beside you looking at this time.. I just sold a great one not long ago.. I wish I had known you were looking... bob

Bob I know they are scarce. I was taking a shot so I wouldn't have to work on the one I have. I want to play them, not work on ' em. The one I have was disassembled and the paint stripped off. I thought I had someone who would refurbish it for me but it fell through.
