I posted this in the steel players section, but thought I would add it here as well since Rose plays her 1961 Fender D8 non-pedal. Their show Sunday night in Tempe Az was top-notch ! Rose did an outstanding job on every solo...the overall band sound was great and a cool selection of songs they played. I was encouraged that the audience was mostly younger (20s to 30s) and they were really into Waynes music ! When Rose played Sleepwalk, the immediately recognized it and applauded. He had two lead guitars (one playing a tele and another playing an old Gibson ES model) and they were both wonderful players. The upright bass was outstanding as well. I dont know where Wayne has the energy to play his style of rhythm guitar...one song and my arm would be "done in" !
If you get the chance check out Wayne Hancock when he plays near you...you will not be disappointed !

Hey thanks, Larry! It was so nice to meet you in person in AZ. Yes, I'm having a blast playing steel with Wayne Hancock. We toured all over the West for a month, and are heading out again in a couple weeks, this time to NM and then the Midwest.
Keep on steelin'
Rose
