My friend Brian Wilkie had his 1980 Rosewood P/P Emmons stolen in Chicago IL. last night. If anyone from up that way hears about one showing up in a pawn shop or music store, or anywhere else for that matter, please contact me and I'll pass on the info to Brian. Brian is a great player and is one of the few guys up there gigging on a regular basis. I was with Brian when he bought this Steel off of T.C. Furlong back in 1980. It not only had sentimental value, but is a great sounding horn.

Russ, Brian didn't have the serial number handy, but I'm hopin' it turns up. I'll see if I can find someone who has a pic of Brian playin' it. Thanks for the reply.

I'll keep an eye and ear out for it over here in Indiana, your neighboring state.

Also, tell Brian to contact me. Perhaps I can lend him a push-pull for awhile. I mean, any friend of TC's is a friend of mine.

Actually, I'll be going up to Chicago next Thursday to pick up a steel I had worked on and to see TC, too.

Here are a few pics of Brian's Emmons. Also stolen was his tweed Blues Junior amp and gig bag with cables, guitar pedals, etc.I have lent him my Emmons Student and amp for now, so he is back up and running.

Hi, Bobs and all - I just posted this over on the Players forum - long story short, some friends of Brian Wilkie have set up an online donation page to help him replace his stolen equipment. Check it out and donate here.

Thanks!
Ariel

Keep an eye on Craigslist too. It may turn up there.

It'll turn up somewhere sometime. One hopes that's sooner than later.

The steel guitar community is too small for a well-publicized loss to remain unfound.
