Donny,That would make sense because I think that the Spinners recorded in Philly? _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... I don't know who produced this track, but "Motown" Johnny Bristol did an album with Boz Scaggs that also featured steel. Maybe it's the same player?
The clip is blocked here, but if you type in Boz Scaggs "Let It Happen" it might be played.
Edited:
On this track it was Red Rhodes and I think it was recorded in LA. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

No, Stu. Me neither.
It's worth mentioning that AllMusic.com is a good reference source but it is very far from infallible. |

Pre-internet they published a hardcopy book that was a reference source like an encyclopedia of the world of recorded music but it also was a buyer's guide. It was primarily music critic-sourced. You could look up an artist and get advice as to the most essential of his recordings, his best work, 'if you only buy one of his records, it should be this one'.....etc.
They transitioned to the internet. But the internet demands total database information saturation which means that they republish faulty info at times (they are not a scholarly body or anything--just critics and amalgamators of info.)
It's still my go to source for record info but it's not compete or perfect. |
