Where all Arlington MCI's Range Expanders?Or is the Range Expander an EMCI? Thanks in advance. .....bb

well i just sold one..MCI RX2000 that is,but basically it had all the same features as my EMCI's.
cant go wrong with either one, imho.

Bobby,
You may know this by now but in case anyone else is interested, Arlington Texas made MCI's were not all RangeXpander models. The RangeXpander is essentially identical to the EMCI.

Did they make S12U versions of the EMCI or MCI? How rare?

Yes they did, I won a bid on e-bay for one on a single frame last year but it wasn't enough to meet the sellers reserve so I never get the guitar. I was gonna rob parts off of it and turn it into a extended E-9.
As to the name RangeXpander, while I am sure there was a reason to justify the name I don't know what it is. It did represnt a new model for MCI where they changed to a welded aluminum front and rear panel from the screwed on aluminum front and wood rear panel of the earlier model.
