well i just sold one..MCI RX2000 that is,but basically it had all the same features as my EMCI's.
cant go wrong with either one, imho. |

Bobby,
You may know this by now but in case anyone else is interested, Arlington Texas made MCI's were not all RangeXpander models. The RangeXpander is essentially identical to the EMCI. |

Did they make S12U versions of the EMCI or MCI? How rare?

Yes they did, I won a bid on e-bay for one on a single frame last year but it wasn't enough to meet the sellers reserve so I never get the guitar. I was gonna rob parts off of it and turn it into a extended E-9.
As to the name RangeXpander, while I am sure there was a reason to justify the name I don't know what it is. It did represnt a new model for MCI where they changed to a welded aluminum front and rear panel from the screwed on aluminum front and wood rear panel of the earlier model. |
