This delay is my favorite. It's kicks the boss dd-3's rear end, which was my go to for years until I found this. I like it so much I upgraded to the X4 version. It's true bypass so you don't loose your clean tone. The delay, feedback, and effect level give all the control you need over the delay, even better than the boutique delay I owned that was endorsed by/named after an uber-famous steel player. The built in delays have any tone you need. The company website offers new delays you can download straight to the pedal all the time for free! It has a switch that gives three different beats to the delay (quarter note, dotted eighth note , whole+dotted eighth notes). It is stereo; I often used the stereo out as an all the time tuner out since I rarely run through two amps. It also has a looper, which I never had the need for so don't know much about. Like I said, really nothing beats this delay, it leaves your tone intact and has the best control over whichever delay you like best: tube, tape, analog, slap, dynamic, ping pong, lofi, 2290, reverse, space, mod, loop, and tone print(the downloadable effect you can exchange as often as you like for a new delay). Oh, and takes up less space than a standard boss pedal too. All manuals are on the TC Electronic website. $99+$8s/h

This is a very good clean sounding unit, I use mine along with the TC Hall of Fame reverb. Great durable piece of equipment.

Yeah it is durable as well. I originally bought it in a rush on the way to a 6 string gig that needed an echo effect. Fiddled around with it on the psg a few days later and fell in love, tossed the DD-3 to the side. I can't emphasize enough how awesome the tone & shaping controls are for the effect. Thanks Morton.
