My Anapeg SD12 is for sale. It will be in Dallas at the Steel Convention this coming week set up in the Telonics room. Unfortunately I cannot attend this year but my good friend Paddy Long will be handling any enquiries and pricing regarding the guitar. It is a superb instrument in mint condition set up in Extended E9 with 5 pedals and 6 knees. It can be changed to 6 pedal Universal tuning quite easily. Noel Anstead is no longer building these beautiful instruments so this is a rare opportunity for someone to own one of these fine instruments. The tone, playability and collectability is all there.

This is the most beautiful pedal steel I've ever seen...and that's more than a few. |

This guitar has very few peers. It sounds as good as it looks too. A very unique opportunity to get an Anapeg. Noel Anstead's workmanship at it's best. Please don't drop it Paddy! _________________ Priebs GFI ('09)Short-Uni10. GFI ('96)Short-Uni SD11. ('86)JEM U12

Anapegs for sale are as rare as rocking-horse dung! I recall the late Tom Brumley's 11-string custom Anapeg sold for $US11,000 - yes, a thousand dollars a string - when it was offered on the forum a few years ago.
Ivan, it must be a huge wrench to have to part with this treasured instrument. However, it represents a chance for a player of exceptional taste (and the necessary financial wherewithal) to acquire one of these unique and highly sought-after steels.
Whoever that lucky player is, I reckon it is a pretty safe bet this steel will not be making the return journey with Paddy to New Zealand after the convention. Somewhere, a US steeler is going to be one very, very lucky, and very, very proud Anapeg-owner. _________________ The steel guitar is a hard mistress. She will obsess you, bemuse and bewitch you. She will dash your hopes on what seems to be whim, only to tease you into renewing the relationship once more so she can do it to you all over again...and yet, if you somehow manage to touch her in that certain magic way, she will yield up a sound which has so much soul, raw emotion and heartfelt depth to it that she will pierce you to the very core of your being. |
