What would you like to know about it?
In terms of Rarity it was one of the 1st 10 made in 1994.
Regarding value, technically it should be worth thousands being what it is, but in today's world contemporary steel guitars seem to loose value more than gain value.
I know every detail of it, but shy away from describing details of my instruments in this area of the steel guitar forum because of having been Lambasted for doing so in the past. Happy to share any detail If every one wants me to. |

That is awfully cheap even in this day and age. My Georgeboard is a high quality piece of equipment. I would want something like 10 times that amount for it. _________________ Amor vincit omnia |

George has always cared about making a quality product and as an excellent steel player himself, he designed his guitars with both beauty and utility in mind. Somebody could get a good deal. _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

When I started out , just like so many others I thought I could make a steel guitar better than what I've seen and made a MDF template by hand and got out the Router.
This particular guitar is one Brad wanted to buy when we were some of the only few folks with web sites about steel guitars.
I believe this forum was a bulletin board at that point.
1 piece Poplar wood body with Bubinga wood fascia Brass String Retainer Bridge and Nut holder with brass round stock all lathed and milled by a fellow in Long Beach - Grover Tuners and Fender style string trees - Electrosocket recessed output jack - Jim Palenscar Milled the plexi pickup bobbin to size and for alnico 5 magnets and later wound by Lindy Fralin - Direct out no controls.
At that point in time I had a Want Ads type web page going and was advertizing second hand pedal steels for Emmons Guitar Company, Ron Lashley Sr. graciously gave me a 22.5 scale read out for CNC which he was an industry leader at the time and was making LeGrande Steel Guitars.
I got the Scale reference from Jerry Byrd as his preferred set up.
This is why my instruments play like an Emmons - Byrd , because they are them licensed under my name.
The Frets are an acetate from Kinkos under a plexi blank milled at a plastics shop before I got into all of the Laser etching and CNC production in general.
If some one is looking to Grab a steel guitar for cheepo prices, this will be a pretty good deal. If some one finds collectible value in my instruments this would be super score and I am glad to compose a letter of provenance for them. One of my goals has always been to have GeorgeBoards become collectible while I am still alive. |

I'm going to bid on it but it will probably get out of my range. It won't go anywhere close to the current price I'm sure. Any guitar you made would certainly have collectible value to me. _________________ GFI SM10 3/4, 1937 Gibson EH-150, 2 - Rondo SX Lap Steels and a Guyatone 6 String C6.
