I just learned that fellow steel guitar player Brian Wilke had his Emmons D-10 stolen out of his car a few days ago. It's rosewood and has 8 pedals + 4 knee levers. Brian has played that guitar everyday for the past 34 years. If you happen to hear of a rosewood mica Emmons D-10 for sale in the Chicago area (pawn shops maybe), it might be his. Please let me know and I'll get in touch with Brian. Thanks in advance for keeping an eye out for it.

"Suggest also keeping a close eye on Craigslist in the Chicago area."

Keep an eye on other nearby cities as well, like Rockford, and Milwaukee.

It may take the thief a while to figure out what he/she has. And then they'll want to wait until things cool down for awhile before trying to sell it.
