This is for all the Genz Benz And GK MB-200 users out there. How do you attach the amp head in a cabinet? I got myself a sweet GB Shuttle 3.0, and it fits perfectly in a Nashville 400 cabinet. I just need something to support it in the back end, but I don't want it to be permanent. I would like to be able to remove the head when needed without scratching it or having to unscrew anything.

Have you considered clipping it to the seat or steel guitar leg?

Will a standard rack shelf fit inside the cabinet? Then maybe set the amp on the shelf.

Hey Ken,

I would rather put it in the cab, so that I can carry the whole thing together.

Don,

The NV400 cab is a half-inch too narrow to fit a rack in there.

Alex,

Take the amp to your local hardware store. They can help you find screws with the right thread to fit in the holes on the sides and/or bottom. My MB 200 has holes for the rubber feet I undid and reused to mount to my seat amp device.

They can also help you make/find some kind of 90 degree metal flange to fasten to the amp and mount to the cabinet.

It should be a pretty simple and cheap venture.

Alex, this is how I mounted my MB200 just using two right angle brackets from my local hardware shop.

I've seen others mounted about the same a Malcolm's.

Just remember to allow for adequate room air flow. Overheating can be a killer of solid state amps such as this.

1 or 2 of these clamps might work.

Jack's right! The case is the heatsink of the MB200 so it needs a bit of air space between it and the case wood preferably. They run fairly cool and there is a fan there in case but cranked up equals more heat. So not a problem at low volume but the brackets with a bit of clearance way would be the safest way to mount them.

I have been talking to them and they say a small space on the left side (where the fan is located) but that usually is not a problem since they are small. There are several ways to accomplish that but a wider bracket is the easiest.

After reading Malcom's post, i looked in my toolbox and found two right angle brackets that lined up perfectly with the side holes on the amp. These Genz Benz have side holes where they can be screwed to a saddle that mounts on top of the genz benz cabinet. I also found two screws that were the perfect size thread and length. WHAT ARE THE ODDS??? Ha ha ha, anyhow, didn't even need to buy anything and now I'm all set. 300 watts, lightweight, with plenty of EQ tweakability, direct out, fx loop for reverb and delay, headphone out, tuner out, and a 15" EPS eminence speaker.
