Here we have, showing up just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, a 1982 factory derby green Emmons D-10 push pull with 8 & 6. It was completely restored by Billy Knowles of Kenansville, NC.
You all have seen Billy’s masterful work before. With these restorations, he usually disassembles the entire guitar, buffs aluminum parts, re-plates undercarriage parts with nickel, re-jewels the necks, cleans the mica, re-flocks the underside, and thoroughly lubes each moving part.
Billy accommodated my requests for gauged rollers, wider white line fretboards, 18.5K pickups, ½” taller guitar than standard, and a new CVL. This PP now has Sid's Live Steel strings on it as well.
This is as good as it gets, folks. Note that Billy Knowles can be reached at http://www.steelguitareast.com and (910) 296-7428.
