Went to the Holualoa Ukulele Gallery - a "must see" for any visitors here...Sam Rosen represents a network of instrument makers, and has a variety of them on the wall...www.konaweb.com/ukegallery.
And while there, a guy came in with two incredibly beautibul lap steels that had beautiful tone (I played them) from their Benedetto pickups...and he turned out to be Kona Bob....then I went to a dinner the next night and Kona Bob was playing in a quartet there.... _________________ https://www.lostsailorspdx.com

I'm honored and grateful to call Bob a friend and island brother. Always look him up when I'm on the island and make a point to see him play. I understand hes making steels now under the radar. I'm sure Dennis Lake is tutoring him. |
