In another thread I showed my newly restored and engraved Stringmaster and during the project I discovered it would have been easier to make new pickup plates than it was to deal with stripping the plate, polishing it, engraving it and returning it for expensive re-chroming.

Four of these are solid German Silver that won't need plating and will never rust. I also had several cut in steel that will need to be polished and plated. These were cut with a water jet and will need a bit of hand finishing, and countersink the holes, but they are also versatile in that they can be drilled and cut to accept any configuration for controls. They can also easily change the program for other pickup configuration so a guy could have different pickups but still keep the classic look of the stringmaster. I'm thinking of a T6-7-8 arrangement myself.

I don't really know what I'm going to do with these now. I was first intending to get into custom engraving instruments, but I've since taken on some other work that will take me away from this project for at least a year. I guess I just wanted to show them since I was talking about these in another thread.
