Topic: Boss DD-3 vs. DD-7 |

I'm thinking of adding a delay unit to my rig. I see the Boss DD-3 and DD-7 used often. Other than the stereo output is there much difference. What is the best choice?

| Sometimes, but not always, older is better. I have a Boss DD-2 which is sposed to outperform the newer models. |

The DD-3 I have is from the 1980's and the repeats are a little warmer than most newer Digital Delays. That said, the DD-7 has quite a bit more functionality than the DD-3 if you need it and it has an analog mode that sounds pretty good.
I prefer the DD-3 and/or the MXR Carbon Copy because they are simpler and sound good but that's just what I'm used to and for me less is usually more... try the DD-3 and the DD-7 and see what you like best.
