I have a Sho-Bud Pro III Custom that I bought in 1978. I love the guitar, but it has lost a few pieces over the years and it weighs a ton. I have two questions: (1) I am looking to buy a current production (i.e., lighter) model that will re-create, as close as possible, the sweet sound I can get with this ax. Any suggestions? and (2) does anybody know where I can take or ship my current guitar to have it repaired? Thanks for any help. |

Looks like your perfect answer is the "Sho-Bud Super-Pro". Metal neck, you will be very happy with this light weight, great sounding guitar with the new alum finger mod. We restore these guitars to any specs you wish. We also have a major restoration department for all Sho-Bud and Emmons P-P steel guitars. You choose colors, pedals, knees, any other mods you wish for . Our prices are very modest and turnaround time is the quickest anywhere. We use all factory and "previous" factory workers for the Sho-Bud restorations.

Good advice- I had a Super-Pro 8 and 6 knees and I liked it real well. I should have kept it.
Easy playing and a great sound. Stayed in tune too.....al |

Or have Bobbe restore it and buy a wheel case.

My Williams with Lawrence 710 pickups sounds very Sho-Bud-ish to my ears. I love it! It probably weighs about 2/3 of what a Sho-Bud weighs, due to the compact design.
