~~~1973 Sho-Bud LDG SD-10 with 3/4 ~~~
This is a first year, round-front LDG with brass barrels behind 2-hole pullers
I purchased this guitar intending a total restoration, but decided not to re-lacquer..... just couldn’t strip off all that well earned “mojo”. Otherwise, guitar has been totally restored.
    * Aluminum professionally buffed by “Bud’s Polishing” in Nashville
    * Original coil tap pickup rewound by Jerry Wallace to 12K/18K
    * Upgraded with new pull rods and nylon cross-shaft bushings
    * 4486 - Serial number indicates Nov. 1973 manufacture date
    * Kevin Hatton split-cases
Standard Emmons E9th pedals with E’s lower/raise on left. RKR lowers 2/9 and RKL raises string 1 a whole step and strings 2/7 a half step
Some normal finish checking and cracking along seams.
$2500 plus shipping & insurance to CONUS
I'm familiar with this guitar. I know its history from the early 70s. In fact, I rescued it from oblivion and restored it about 5 or 6 years ago.
The tone of this guitar, simply put, is astounding. It is, without a doubt, the best sounding Sho~Bud from the 70's and later that I've encountered. Really, not even close, this guitar is hands down the best.
FWIW, I don't have a dog in this hunt. But this is an exceptional LDG.
Thanks Herb... I can't add anything to that. Now I'm having seller's remorse.
Seriously, I think this is Stu's old guitar... among others.
