There seems to be some confusion about the files I'm giviig away. There are 2 different ones. One of them is a steel guitar supplement to my book; â€Music Theory In the Real World: A practical guide for today’s musicians.†Here is a link. http://www.melbay.com/Products/98207/music-theory-in-the-real-world.aspx
This is the book that’s published by Mel Bay Publications. Mel Bay owns the rights to the book. (They pay me just under a dollar for every book sold.) I however, am not a retailer, and cannot legally sell the book, or even give the file away. Mel Bay does not own the rights to the steel guitar supplement. That's one of the files that I give that away.
But the supplement all about how the stuff in the book relates to the steel, with examples from the book tabbed out, and a section on how what the pedals do corresponds to some of the ideas in the book. The supplement is useless without the book itself. You have to buy a copy, after which I’ll send you the supplement.
The other file is the article on how to read music on the steel. I’ll send that out now to anybody who asks for it.
My reading method is not quick and easy. It’s going to require a lot of study on your part. But it does work. If you follow my method, you won’t be able to look at a piece of sheet music and instantly be able to play it, but you will learn how to figure it all out, including when and how to use the pedals. _________________ Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.
