Can anyone recommend a good rack mounted effects processor, that's easy to operate for a techno dummy? I'm using a ProFex 2 right now and would like to try another good sounding, easy processor. I'm open to suggestions. BTW- I'm using a StereoSteel rig currently.

I kinda like my Lexicon MPX100, although it's pretty simple, with only two effects available at a time.
Having experimented briefly with a few multieffects units, I hate 'em. Hard to program, even harder to tweak a single parameter.
I'd rather have a root canal than another multieffects unit. Give me three or 4 stomp boxes.

I've always had good luck with the Lexicon's. The MPX1 is my favorite and works great with any amp system. They're no longer made by Lexicon but plenty of used one out there in excellent shape.

TC Electronics M-300 or M 350's are easy and sound good too. Just twist knobs to get what you want.
