I will again be hosting the Non-Pedal Session at the SWSGA’s annual show in Phoenix. On Saturday, 1/18, I will present a non-pedal seminar from 9:30-11:30. http://chucklettes2.zooglelabs.com/ The Non-Pedal Session will start at 12PM. Confirmed players for the Non-Pedal Session include Carco Clave, Rose Sinclair, Bobby Black, Herb Steiner, Chuck Lettes, Margie Mays, Bob Glidden, Buffalo Rick Galeener, Doug Livingston, Bob Blair, and Chris Kennison.

Bravo Chuck, you've done it again !
For Those who do not know: Chuck is the Artist who gave the Non Pedal Sessions their Start at all of the Main Pedal Steel Festivals.
I believe this will year 3 at Phoenix. Awesome Line up and great backing players too.
Mr.and Mrs. Boards No Longer Fly and the Drive is very long and expensive for us, although we hope to be able to make the Phoenix and Denver Festivals in future years.
For those who can attend it is well worth it to get to see these Artist up close and at a low volume setting.

Rats! I'll be on Oahu on the 19th. My family is down in Tucson, so it'd be nice to come down for a visit. I've used a lot of Chuck's C6 pedal steel tab I got on Scotty's old Steel Guitar International. The best! I played his version of "Maiden's Prayer" every night for 4 years!

Thanks, guys. George, I remember back when you and I put together the Non-Pedal Session in Dallas. John,those arrangements for Scotty's magazine go back a few years, too. Glad that you stayed with the steel guitar. Hope to see you both at a show down the road.

Looking forward to your workshop Chuck! We exchanged an email earlier. Forum newbie here and also new to lap steel.
Currently a dobro player and looking to expand my horizons a little. Am looking to buy a 6 string lap steel at some point. Can I expect to see a lot of vendors there with instruments I can try out? Would be great to kill 2 birds with one stone and find the right instrument there as well. |
