I will be giving 2 concerts in January, on Sunday, the 12th at the Pasadena Library, 285 E Walnut St, Pasadena, at 2:30 PM, and on the 15th at the 1st Baptist Church in Glendale, 209 N.Louise (Corner of Louise and Wilson.) at 12 noon.

The Pasadena concert will last about an hour and will be a mixture of classical and popular music. On this occasion, I will be playing with computer tracks. (I've done this before, and while it's not ideal, it does work.)

The Glendale concert will be about 1/2 hour, and will consist entirely of classical selections. That day I will be accompanied by 3 highly accomplished orchestral musicians.

I've said before that my goal is not to introduce classical music to the steel guitar community, but rather to introduce the steel guitar to the classical music community. These concerts are my first real opportunity to do that. And while they are not geared to you folks, you are nevertheless all invited to attend.

I hope you tape this,
just in case it meets
or exceeds expectations.

Thanks for the effort!

Steve, neither of these concerts will be recorded. Neither venue has recording facilities.

But I have recorded 3 CDs, and there is almost 90 minutes of music on the web. if you want to hear my stuff, just click on the web sites in my signature.

Mike, I know how much you've been looking forward to the concert with the other musicians. Glad you've gotten here in good health! Put on a great show! Sorry, but I won't be able to attend, but I'll be cheering you on from here.

Thanks Doug. I have to admit, I'm more than a little nervous about these concerts. I'm playing some really tricky stuff, and there's no room for error.

Like so many others, all I ever hear is my mistakes. And I feel that getting it right 99.9% of the time is not good enough.

I'm not going to be able to relax till after they are over.
