I've seen several of these, so I know it's not a one-off, but they are rare. This model never made it into a Rickenbacker catalog, but the combination of the large pre-War pickup, the decal logo and the wood body suggest that it was built to use up existing parts when production resumed around 1946.

The hard-wired cord is a modern replacement, and I have added ferrules in the top of the body to prevent the strings from cutting into the wood near the bridge. Otherwise, the instrument appears to be all original. The pickup and controls work fine and sound great, with hot output and plenty of clear, bell-like tone. The tone control is one of the more effective ones I've found from the period. Overall, the steel has its share of nicks, dings and scratches - it has definitely been played a lot over the years - but there are no problems and it currently needs nothing. It does not have a case, but I will pack it with the utmost care and padding.

There is a more thorough description and additional photos on my website.

I'm asking $550, including Paypal fees and shipping in the US.
