I heard a Melobro on a video that was not set up right and had lost it's "bark" Wink that they are well known for. And I have had a half dozen guys asking questions on doing older Melobar Nut and Bridge set ups so I did a new page on Melobar Tech Help on the www.melobarted.blogspot.com site to see if that helps.

Thanks for sharing the info, Ted.

I daresay, you might well be able to sell folks like myself who lack the time, skill or inclination upgraded to DIY this project some upgraded nuts that you could produce. Not only just nuts and bridges for 6 and 10 string models, but also an 8 string for folks that want to use their 10 stringers for this.

Hi Matt,

I do get an email every few weeks for an upgrade but it is one of those tedious precise jobs that takes a lot of time and patients to get right. What I don't like about just doing the parts and sending them out is I can't test them on the instrument and know everything is working right from the string to magnet balance in volume, to how the bar feels when it plays at the first and fifth frets. I listed a little bit more info yesterday on scale lengths and calibration - all of which you really have to do when it is on the instrument, so that's why I'd rather try and help guys do it themselves.

My wife and I are also about to downsize which means no more shop. I am trying to finish the very last old inventory I have and that will be the last ones. So all the info I can pass on I'm trying to do now.[/b]
